    How to Calculate Nigerian Tax 2026

    To calculate Nigerian income tax in 2026: 1) Determine your gross annual income in Naira. 2) Subtract deductions (8% pension, 2.5% NHF for employees, 5% NHIS). 3) Apply 20% rent relief on annual rent up to ₦500,000 max. 4) The first ₦800,000 is tax-free. 5) Apply progressive rates: 15% up to ₦3M, 18% to ₦12M, 21% to ₦25M, 23% to ₦50M, 25% above ₦50M.
